Yağ gülü (Rosa damascena Mill.)’nde Çırpma Budama Zamanının Çiçek Verimi, Gül Yağ Oranı ve Bileşenleri Üzerine Etkisi

The aim of the research was to determine effects top-pruning time on flower yield, rose oil content and constituents in oil-bearing rose. Five-year old plants were top-pruned three different dates starting from 15 March (early), 30 (middle) ending April (late) before they started new growth spring. In addition, non-pruned (untreated) parcels used as controls. Top pruning significantly affected its constituents. highest yield (4302 kg/ha) obtained plants. fresh increased 3559 kg/ha 3905 0.030 % 0.045 %, respectively when delayed. GC-FID/MS analyses oils revealed that monoterpenic constituents, such geraniol citronellol higher distilled late-pruned plants, paraffinic hydrocarbones (stearoptenes), nonadecane heneicosane early-pruned mid- (30 March) gave by 27.28 30.64 respectively. A remarkable result methyl eugenol content, which is not desirable above a spesific quantity due allergic mutagenic, decreased early late pruning.
